A Happy Ending?

By Dayer

He woke up the next morning
Tears of hurt burning his eyes,
And he remembered with great sadness
The reasons that he cried.

So he later took some roses
Gently placed them on the grave,
For the girl of his dreams had left him
His heart could no longer be saved.

This man had finally had enough,
Unable to take the grief he'd withheld,
Through the years he had been searching
As the sadness within him welled.

So now this man and his woman
Are dancing in the sky,
For he found her waiting for him,
Took one last breath & closed his eyes.
