Middle

By antiScripsony

Hey
One Dollar Seventy cents from your pocket
As retribution
Don't annoy me
When I've annoyed you
For nine hours
The complainers in the corner
The middle on the patio
And the blue collar of tomorrow are upstairs
Well, It's starting to get late
And the songs are irritating
And I think I'll go sit down downstairs

In the middle
The middle of the middle class, of the middle age
In the middle of the life, in the middle of the end
In the middle of the outer great white injustice

There's a beach across the lake
Far away as I could get
Ball and net
Is it over yet
Picnic table next door
Leonardo Da Vinci
Nikola Tesla and Alkaline Trio
Well, I'm walking up the stairs
And I'm walking back down again
And I'm walking around back up and down

In the middle
The middle of the middle class, of the middle age
In the middle of the life, in the middle of the end
In the middle of the outer great white injustice

Why do I have to be here today
When I'm just here on principle
The day's away
Pulling back to the room downstairs
With your trite caricatures of white America
Hooray for the middle
Hooray for the mediocrity
Hooray for letting the room shatter
Celebrate the tragedy
Take off late
