the Presence

By mysticventures

For as long as I can remember
It's been there
A subtle presence in the back of my mind
Allowing it's essence to be felt
Only
On occasion

Something I could never quite seem to place or name
With it came a sense of excitement and anticipation
As if something eminently wonderful was going to happen
A knowingness of something grand
Something holy
Something known
But not quite

Often, a restlessness would overwhelm me
I needed to do something
But, I knew not what
Then a great creative urge would ensue
Yes, that was it
I needed to create
Something
Anything

Design something, build something, paint something,
Anything
Finally, I took up the pen
And allowed the creative essence to flow
And it was thru writing
That I discovered the true nature of that essence

That elusive presence
I finally realized
Was
My self
In spirit
