You

By Alacer_Cogitatus

My soul aches,
My heart breaks,
As I remember the way,
I treated you.
You deserved so much more,
than I had given.
You were worth everything,
and I traded it for nothing.
You were the perfect one,
the one and only.
My laziness and stupidity,
checked my ego at the door.
I gave up on you,
but you stood by me still.
And now is the time,
That I will truly
appreciate
you.

Getting a second chance is rare. I like the honesty you admit to in this poem. Great inking. :)
