Samurai

By Lord Kalgalath

What is happening to the people of this world?
we have, all of us, myself included,
become to a certain extent
self-centered self-serving ignorant capitalistic creatures..

nearly gone is the sense of honor, the samurai had,
long gone the pride, and the dignity..
we seem to have lost these ways

and i dont mean the hacking slashing bit,
we are a people of law..
bloodshed and violence have no place in our society
even though struggle and bloodlust is a part of who we are,
and always will be..

I mean the importand things, family, honor, tradition
(the macys day parade does not count)
or how about loyalty...respect courtesy..
i could go on
but lets move along shall we?

we as a people, as a race, all races,
are shambling our way to the cliffside,
to blind in oour quest for personal gain
that we do not see it...

how dare you take my money
to teach my children to read and write...
to make them ready
for this world i am helping to make for them
for its unnessesary complications, and troubles
for the lies and deciet that abounds here
i could go on
but lets move along shall we?

like i said we have become creatures who do nothing that is not for their own benefit somehow
and its sad really,
when you cant find anyone to talk to on your own level
outside of the gifted students in your class,
because noone else knows whats going on...
when even the teachers lose their ability
to teach you something new..

we lost it all in the name of the god of our hearts
