Beauty Evades Me

By Jaded Jezzabelle

Can you feel the pain inside my soul
You darkness absorbs my light
Until there is nothing left
My heart is ripped to shreads
And
My screams stay trapped whitin my throat
As God sits laughing at me
At all my wasted dreams
Unkept promises
Where did my life go
Voices whispered out side a dimly lit room
I hold my heart up to your lies
Uttered with a forked tounge
By a hollow soul
The wind caresses me like the breath of lovers
Lovers I will never have
And
The full moon baths me in a silvery glow
That remains forever unseen
Naked eyes see only what their trained
So beauty evads me once more
And
Iam caught inside the fire of the darkest hell
Searching for someone to replace him
To show me the way back to who I used to be
When he ripped off my mask and threw it away
Forced me to see myself through his eyes
I
Could
Never
Live
Up
To
His image of me
And
The angels in heaven
Send Laughter raining down upon me
My screams die inside my throat
As
They swallow the tiny pieces
That are left of my broken soul
Until there is nothing
And
Iam no more
No
