On My Own
By Jaded Jezzabelle
I caught a glimmer of fate in your eyes
You had only one choice
To exit this demention
Never once did you consider me
Always there waiting to catch you
You walked along the edge
Of life
With no regret
Confident with your intentions
Then you question
Why I ran away
Could not wait
Did not stay
Only to say
One more time
Good bye
I had to save my self
From being unable to save you
My torn and broken soul
Couldnt take all the reasons why
But
I was not the only one of us
Who decided to take flight
Loving you had taught me well
You pushed me down the road of freedom
Towards independence
Because you knew
Long before
Now as I stand here
On my own
Alone
Holding on to all
Thats been left unsaid
Between us
Your ghost still haunts me
And I cherish this pain
Which taunts me
And
I run to the darkness
Calling your name
Only to be heard
By no one
No
One
for casey the one I would have died for but lived

All I can say is I understand, I have been there myself. I'm so sorry, the tears in my heart for you... Beautiful poem.
