A series of bleeding hearts

By Exodus

A series of bleeding hearts.

One too many.

The memory consumes your mind.

Drowning you to sleep, slowly to the sound of the crashing waves.

The tears flow like water, falling into the sand

You sink farther below.

The memory scatters like ashes

Over the ocean, the cold east pushing farther into remorse

And you are happy they made it

But their weakness saddens you

Watching from your bedroom window

It seems too much to take

Madison remembered the sunset

And she recalled it beautiful

In her poetic suicide

A tragedy unleashed its way through the town

And the shadow creatures from the north

Claim yet another victim

With the face of an angel

With eyes too dark to be his own

Dive off the bridge

You did travel all this way

Just to see your world end

In this view.

I like that you've begun using names, it adds definition and power to your writing... though I think this one needs a little work, still.
