or am I just a tweaker....continued

By Jaded Jezzabelle

I ask
would that be with or without my consent
but its not their intent to harm me
or alarm me
theres nothing to fear
they looked at me as did them
wondering what this white girl
is doing down here
And I resent
the browns and the blacks
for not seeing past
the color of my skin
or its lack there of
And assuming
I must be confused and lost
or looking to score some drugs
with out paying the cost
Or that Im infatuated with thugs
as
I ask
the sexy ass essay
on the corner
with the bad ass tattoos
for directions
to the nearest crackhouse
just kidding
I could ask a million questions
and tell a million lies
trying to imply
that I'm not guilty
of playing
the label game
But we're all kind of the same
each one of us must take some blame
And admit that we're just products
from which we came
And we'reall too quick
to dissmiss eachother
or to judge an unread book
by only its cover

Perfect ending...I always re-read these over and over and it's never enough.

Like the way you wrap it up. We're all at fault, but at least some realize it, and can look past it if they try.

This is even better than the first part, especially the ending, and yes, even those who try not to judge do, do it.

  • A former member wrote: Everyone judges in some sort of form or another. No one is without guilt. Sometimes the cover is why we read the book. And sometimes the book supercedes the cover. Delicious write.
