Listen to me, Love me, Praise me.

By Exodus

This really was a quickie...i just got really mad and jotted this down....I know its no good...but I had to get it out...

I pour my soul for nothing
And she is praised
Maybe I’m just jealous
But its so hard to face
I could care so much more
But it would take me to my grave
The pain in my heart is growing
Everytime I hear you whisper her name

I could say she’s nothing
But I wont drown in the rubble
Of a broken city
Blinded by the lies
She created
And I bleed my body for nothing
And I stain apple red for nothing
Because of you
I am nothing

Don’t play stupid
You know I’m talking to you
I want my fame
I want credit
For the lies I tried to strangle away
But no one cares to see
This battle and my defeat
Maybe I’m just jealous
But its so hard to face

For some odd reason... this one isn't drenched in my comments yet. "I could care so much more/ But it would take me to my grave" has some real meat to it... I know that feeling all too well. Great ending, too... and I'm always watching your battles ;)
