Elusive Girl
By ellie
Her bare feet make no sound on the Frozen ground.
Her skin, like silk, is whiter than the snow that has covered the forest
in a veil of mystery...
A long black cloak covers her thin body.
Her beautiful face is half-hidden by a hood.
Her big pitch-black eyes mirror the pain
she forever carries deep within her thoughts.
But her thoughts shed never tell...
For reasons eternally unknown, she is forever weeping.
Never has she spoken a word...
For her eternity, beyond knowledge, myth and legend,
she wanders mournfully within the dark forests of earth
She is searching..
Always looking for the one.
Suddenly, she turns her beautiful face upwards.
She closes her sad eyes.
Her thin pale lips part and from them a petrifying scream uncoils.
Such a sad scream...
Her scream ripped through the delicate silence of that night like a knife
It hovered in the freezing winter air. Lost and sad.
This, is a scream of a soul sunken in the darkest depths of despair
Her scream travels through the night
searching for the one...
All heads bow in prayer when the air rings with the echo of her frightful
voice...
She is searching...
Always looking for the one..

That scream...all I could hear is my own, and I'm severely depressed right now, so I will only say you are a wonderful poet and the poem is painfully heartfelt *~seraph~*
