Self Defense Mechanism

By Midnight Phoenix

Every day I speak cries upon your name
Their shameless wailing

Every heart beat ceases upon your show
Will you be coming

Remember all the times tearing in
My skin so gently

Whoa. I can’t breath again
This must be a dream oh

If I could scream
Would it defend me

Complicated fears in these dark days
Is it still raining

The clouds keep forming over head
Won't they forgive me

You control the senses housed within
This clockwork body

Tear apart the gears you find inside
But you won’t take my dreams oh

If I could scream
Would it defend me

I recognize your words as raindrops falling over my head...."If I could scream Would it defend me"....some kind of shield must resist the outer pains...I am content to read from you again.
