Cherished

By man of decay

Watch out for the words that fall from her lips,
Her mouth in motion makes my mind do flips.
She strips away all our fragile little inhibitions
Better men have made much worse decisions
Because of what she envisions the world to be
She questions whether that world is better without me.

...... It's better if you believe that I'm not a bitter man,
I'm no quitter, I live without a plan.
Yet I plan to forget her,
And I'm doing the best I can
But she's no quitter
I've got a short attention span.
What planet are you from?
What planet are you not?
The kingdom will come crumbling down on some -
We cherish the very thought.
