Untitled

By Silver Spectre

I awaken at sea with a gift in my heart
As her sweetest whisper lingers softly off the waves
Softly off the part of me that that wishes her to stay
Was she a dream, the kind that come and go?
Or was she an angel with a blessing to bestow
Onto the shore, onto the smooth sand at my feet
Her whisper still lingers with the tone of a hushed bell
I can still feel the warmth of her breath upon my ear
The thunder of her wings as she left me standing here
She said "hold this gift close and never forget"
In what seems to have been a timeless conversation
I remember only one word that followed

"Forgiveness"
