I should have known right from the start

Each one of my past loves

Has a little piece of my heart

Meaning each new one gets a little less

Eventually there won't be anything left in my chest

Maybe I'm just not built to have a second half

Maybe I'm too apathetic to actually make it last

Maybe I'm just too blind to see

That everything that went wrong is what's wrong with me

Maybe you weren't the one that was wrong..maybe you just kept on picking the wrong ones. Nicely penned, flowed perfectly while read. Scholar

Honestly, it's probably a bit of both. Thank you for reading Lily.

A feeling that is known all too well. I particularly felt that last line harder than I would have liked to have lol. Thank you for the read ~RTBH~
