Empty
By Smiles
I should have known right from the start
Each one of my past loves
Has a little piece of my heart
Meaning each new one gets a little less
Eventually there won't be anything left in my chest
Maybe I'm just not built to have a second half
Maybe I'm too apathetic to actually make it last
Maybe I'm just too blind to see
That everything that went wrong is what's wrong with me

Feeling this. Romance is hard and rarely works out in reality like it does in fiction. "Maybe I'm just not built to have a second half"... That resonates with me. As does your excellent closing line. Thank you for posting this.

It's important to know yourself, when you're part of two. I have sometimes allowed the failings of others to become my own mistakes. You have to know where your responsibility ends and their's begin. In the blender, we are all at fault. Tangos take 2.... Love fucking sucks.

A feeling that is known all too well. I particularly felt that last line harder than I would have liked to have lol. Thank you for the read ~RTBH~
