Sweet Mystery

By Silver Spectre

Would the wind that flows
Over red petals stay
On her lips that call to mind
Of a time long ago
When the world was still
When lovers bathed in wine
Or would it soften when
She shines so bright
Would it be bold
When she calls the night
Which covers me
In an electric glow
That brings me to her side
And I bet she knows not how
She seeps deep into me
To where I can taste the vine
Of the fruit that comes
With her sweet mystery
That captures me tonight.
