Stuck in a Psych Ward
By CryMeaRiver
Waking wrapped in white sheets
white walls
white pillls
warped mind
everyone here
eats and sleeps at the same time
sporadic schedules
medically desighned
emotional rollercoaster
a straight away is what I seek to find
Comethazine daydreams
I need a get away car
come and save me
I want out
I want free
I want to be whoever the hell
I want to be
An addict
or crazy
depressed and lazy
just let me go home
so I can be alone
cause when I'm on my own
I can be me

I know a lot of people who can relate to this, your minimalist style of writing shows how the emotion is controlled or monitored by others. Really great poem.

Very accurate portrayal of metal illness! I have never been a patient in a mental hospital, but my grandmother was, and I when I visited her, I think this very accurately captures the feeling of someone going through this! Very well done!
