"Death might not be so bad"

By Shikiryu

Death might not be so bad,
I think,
when you think,
about it.
Really.

Sometimes.  .  .
Sometimes I yearn to sink into the peace of Darkness,
to admire the beauty of nothingness,
No pain,
No choice,
Peace for eternity.

Surprise me when it's time,
Life can be hidden but the dark is ever present,
take me gently into your cold embrace.
Dying,
Dying is painful but death?
Death might not be so bad.

If you are wishing upon death do me a favor and make sure you arent in love, because burring a significant other is the absolute worst pain I have experienced and I still feel it EVERY day almost 2 years later ~*Cat*~

My previous reply was kind of callaous. What I mean is that I'm kinda alone in this world. Sure people might like me and stuff but I bear all my hardships and pain by myself. If I decide the burden is too much one day, I don't think there's anyone alive who has the right to tell me not to end it or not. Not saying I'm gonna off myself but if i make that choice, it's mine

Why should I suffer pain for someone else's sake? I bear my pain alone.

Definitely enjoyed the level of comfort in your morbidity and the smooth way you portray it. This also puts me in mind of a quote I fell in love with as a young lad. “Why should I fear death? If I am, then death is not. If Death is, then I am not. Why should I fear that which can only exist when I do not? Long time men lay oppressed with slavish fear. Religious tyranny did domineer. At length the mighty one of Greece Began to assent the liberty of man.” - Epicurus

Would've liked to have a chat with you when you were a "young lad" ha
