The Burden of Dreams and Disbelief.

By TheProphetUntold

Recollect.

Thought and memory
burn away like autumn leaves
and dead evergreen.

The dull embers and
ashes' ever climbing wings
silent and unseen.

Burdened by meaning
of words, dreams and disbelief.

What ends do they bring?

...and if we dared to perceive
would they sing, or would they scream?

It never fails that when i read your work i feel disassociated from real life and engulfed in your emotion. Truly mind seducing.

Thought and memory, and what they become of us, when we, like them are gone into the silence of only words. Perhaps a lullaby of contentment, or a litany of guttural grievances. Our gift to you. Cheers Proph! - Dan

This made me think there was some force, some kid with a lighter, standing off to the side, a smile on his face, flicking the lighter over and over, appreciating their influence. So much possible to unpack in this, after several reads my mind keeps going somewhere new and I think it could connect infinite dots and never be able to answer that last line. Awesome man, much enjoyed.
