Day 1-20,334 // Dream

By Shikiryu

We dream the Dream,
You and I.
The great expression,
7 billion faces of the universe.

We are not the same.
We could be each,
The Dream,
We . . .
each dream.

We dream the same dream,
You and I.
Mohammed and Gandhi,
Separation validates.
Unity.

You and I,
The great expression of the universe,
Matter self-determined,
an Author.

Reach for your Shakespearian charm,
We'll dance a great dance,
A chaotic orchestration,
Freely determined . . .
Oh how we dream.

We dream,
We live,
We live,
It seems.
We are what is,
You and I.

Author your orchestra,
Make it beautiful,
Dust though it goes,
Create it nonetheless,
Dream.

I felt that this read almost chaotically, but in a great way. The back and forth where I couldn't really tell if "I" and "you" were many or one, and the same. Or many but one. That's the beauty of it. We are all particles waiting to return to source, maybe to arrive again and contribute to the orchestra. Maybe the things we dislike in others we dislike because they are brethren so we feel like they should know better, like their chaos is disrupting us all as one in this dream that we dream. I thought the concept was really cool and the structure and delivery as well. It's not always easy to look at the positives when there is so much negativity everywhere you look, but I've heard that whatever one focuses on they're sure to find, for better or worse. Nicely done!
