Echoes

A voice, ever echoing

Like a broken record that ever spins.

Flawed, weak, inferior, alone, unwanted.

Never good enough, never smart enough

The voice echoes again and again.

The record keeps on spinning, drowning all else out.

Till all that's left is raging, empty darkness.

And that's when I realize

The voice was mine all along.
