Lay of Love
By midnights voice
You were my off and on novel
A page a day for life
I'd wind up slipping off your dust jacket
Before you decided to spend the night
You would drink your whiskey straight
Had a quirky smile after that
Then run your hand through your hair
say ,"That's enough of that."
Then we would go for walks
Across the warm summer's night golf course
You would unbutton your blouse
And let your chest air out
I loved the way you could tease me
With the curve of your breasts there
All the while your hair would rustle
by the breaths of the cool evening air
Now many years and pages of calanders
Have fallen to the floor
No longer your grace and presence
Enters the opening of my door
Tonight is a cold winter's night and
Your memory has frozen to the core
I must go out walking
Across the golf course once more
Love has many lives
That extends
Before and after
Actual touch

Oh well i guess that leaves me out. I'll go back to my rabbit hole. Pardon me for intruding on a private event. If love is true they do say it springs eternal.
