Stardust

By The Talking Wolf-Cat

From the dawn of time, we were but matter
Specs of stardust, drifting listlessly among the cosmos
Even as the celestial bodies were being battered
By the chaotic forces that created a burning heap of celestial compost

Even as it cooled and began to solidify
Even as the roiling oceans began to rise
Even as the first forms life began to appear
Even as species began to disappear

One thing, one truth has always remained
As stardust, we shall all be a whole again

May the soil lie lightly upon her, my friend.
