scared to love

By silentninja

I watch the world wither away
Stealing away my youth
The Greys have started to show
And still my heart splinters
And still my heart cracks
And still my heart breaks
And still my heart is a billion pieces on the floor

I might not be as young as I used to be
Again I find love
Two different world collide
Reality tears us apart
My failures in my life have become me
My lies have buried my tears for too long

I'm alone
So fucking alone
Almost
Not quite

I found someone
I've never been this scared

I think in a lot of ways she's right. The best you can, is what you can do, given where you're at. I'm not sure if we ever stop being scared when we value someone enough that it pains us to lose them. Stay the course, nice work.
