Raven My Raven

PLEASE READ NOTE BELOW BEFORE READING POEM
I started a novel when i was about 13. We'll she's still a working progress
because i have a busy life. I actually had finished it before. I had written
it down in a blank book (old journal) it was about 700 pages) but i left
it at the house of the person who helped me gather my thoughts and really
put it together.
and well ...his house caught fire and they perished along with my book.
This man was the closest thing i ever had as a father... and it is hard
to find the strength to work on it and rewrite it. ...but yes, in short
i wrote a book at age 13. Thanks to him and when my book is finished (again)
it will be dedicated to him. ...but any ways, this poem is a
song that is in my book. I hope you enjoy.
Raven My Raven
“Raven My Raven.
Fly to the disembodied souls of this wretched waste land.
Fly to every tormented specter…to every poltergeist…
In hopes that you will carry them all away~
With their cries to fly high then fight another day~
Take to the sky, fly high as they give their praise~
Beyond the stars, released from the bars of this barren place~
To a paradise from sacrifice, no need to pray~
In the arms, far from the harm you’ll forever stay, never fade away~
In the light, your words are heard, fly like a bird~
…Within the Haven…
Come fly to me
Raven My Raven~
Author's Note:
I tear up every time i try to work on it again...Awards

im very sorry to hear of this tragedy, no one person she have to experience such suffering. that is just the worst ever. but your song....its so beautiful, its so poetic and it squeezes my heart after reading your story behind it. that song is brilliant in every sense. "within my haven...come fly to me...raven my raven" to me that's perfect I swear. I had a black cat named raven and on his ears he had unique hairs that looked like little wings, and I used to call him raven bird. haha but he died and I would love that tattooed on my thigh along with a portrait of him. its just to perfect. your song is uplifting and it brings tears while in the back of my mind im thinking of the tragedy and also reading your song that brings emotions all by itself. im moved and I hope when your ready you can finish that book, my best to you. awesome!

this is an amazing write, i can feel the melancholy state that you put out here, and your imagery is awesome. I'm sorry you lost your story in the fire. But please continue and make it a novel, the poem alone is that good, imagine the novel

Thank you so much. Truly, for recognizing the pain behind this... Your kindness always touches me. and I was thinking about posting it on here. So every one on here could read it. But i am only allotted so many credits (not for sure how you buy/get more) and the book is fairly long and some of it is still incomplete. When it is done it will be sold on amazon though.
