My name is Grunt.
 
I sniff, snarl,
Fart and bark
I jump on my master in the dark
I annoy her
But I know she loves me
So I protect her from the cover monster
And even take her out in public with a rope and flaunt her
She gives me snacks from her plate
I’ve even tried to jump on her leg and mate
 
She smacks me away but I know she doesn’t hate me
Even when my smell runs her out of the room
And she chases me with the broom
 
I know she still loves me no matter what I do
 
Even when I chase the cat
And pee on her disturbed laptop bag
 
She’s still my people
My very own person
I’m gonna keep her, and we’ll be together
Like birds of a feather
Together forever.
