For Eric, Too (2)

By Salty Ships

1 I was sick
in
(with)
my love for you
it rotted my lungs
it rose in my throat
it was a stone in my digestion

2 Every "was"
is
an "is"
always
in all things
just as
you
concerning me

3 I slept (fended) you off
alone
with cheap carbon copies
with substances
with absolutely nothing

obviously.

4 you

5 still you

6 yesterday
tomorrow
the next life

7.

"I slept (fended) you off alone with cheap carbon copies" - this is an interesting piece, and I think your creative format conveyed a lot in halting form. Love this one! Ciao, T/S Scholar
