Religion

By HeLlSeND

Dark shadows cross a mind of joy
Bringing rage out from the coy
Those who once thought just of peace
Begging life for quick release
Release from life of pure disgrace
Wishing only to leave this place
Wanting nothing more than love
Praying daily to god above
Finding answers few and vague
Waiting calmly for the plague
That will destroy all the untrue
Yet millions die per day gone through
Faithful or not, they all still die
Now question this gigantic lie
Belief in that which they know not
To avoid the coals they claim glow hot
Do they really feel the burn
Or does it end when it’s your turn
Is nonexistence so much to fear
So what if we simply disappear
So what if this is all we are
Temporary just like a scar
Slowly fading till we’re gone
Some are short, some are long
But fade away we’re sure to do
Why is that so hard for you

  • A former member wrote: my thoughts exactly. i think the bible is an incredibly written work of fictional literature, not much else. this poem is the same kind of art, except less unbelievable. :)

I don't think the only hell is what a person can believe in their mind. It's that which consumes and destroys them. Me personally, I will find immortality ;)
