The soothing sound of rain

By Artanis

Shouting and crying in a hollow room
Slap
Reddening skin
Silence
Seated in a corner with hands over face
Hiding
Bruised and broken
Silence
Until it begins to rain
Water drips drops on the roof
Of the hollow room
Seeping into the cracks
In silence
Where shaking hands catch the falling water
Forgetting the shouting and crying in the hollow room
Where fists opened and became loving hands again
That held onto precious moments
like the soothing sound of rain

This is beautiful too ! The rain feels healing. Like the transition from a harsh, rough atmosphere to the relaxed state of mind.
