still,... the heart beats on..
By sea of sorrow
mother's womb, the beat will start
from there, we all play the part
with waking sight, become a slave
venturing life, that we pave
souls we meet, refuse we find
will fade away, with passing time
blazing sun, to midnight moon
when anguised thoughts, hit typoon
sadness, guilt, rage, and shame
help to only, feed the pain
tomorrow's hope, always true
of stars so bright, after sky's so blue
but lingering intuitions, inside that haunt
flashes, of past ages are gone
still,... the heart beats on..
future we face, with every inhale
faith in ourselves, we cannot fail
each moment seen, i've grown more cynical
till mistrust so guile, hit it's pinnacle
there comes a time, when all must choose
from things we want, and ones we can't lose
inside, we all feel the stress
that picks our mind, and brings unrest
proceeding after, with each dawn
still,... the heart beats on..

I know the feeling...and yes, the heart beats on and goes onwards, even with al´l the pain and hurt...still, one must move on.

...I always like a poem that includes 2 of my favorite words, 'fade' & 'blue.' the tempest of life's journey is so definitively related. 1 misspelling: 'when all must *choose*'...
