When we fell, I prayed
By Cant walk away
A silent kiss softly swept
Weightless falling up or down, unknown
Infancy to womanhood shaped by you.
Created, eyes to reflect the hue of your heart.
Passionate like the gentle embrace forgotten but returned ever so tenderly.
The moon and stars at my back the sun at yours.
A completion of all that was made in honest love.
Seven days the sands of time came to a still for us.
Though in the distance unknown those days passes us by untouched.
The sky was a painted canvas of pure white light and it shimmered as we
glowed, true to our forms.
Shrouded to the darkness that creeps to become our undoing.
Those who led us now deceive the true nature and we spiral
A beautiful calm turned violent, a fight for our lives.
As our hands slip the black seeps in veiling my truth from your eyes.
Tumbling, I hold tightly
Hoping
Praying...
"Don't forget" I say "Please don't fall away"
The darkness flickers off and on, a sign to hold my heart steady.
The smile I've seen so many times creeps across your face when my light
shines through to your remembrance.
I close my eyes to hold that picture in my mind.
I breathe deep
Hoping
Praying...
A vision plays itself out behind my clinched eyelids.
Moving backward or forward in time, unknown.
Two faces happily look and say we're waiting.
Me too... I realize.
Then the lilies blow softly in the breeze on a white day of promise.
I look up to see that smile.
I smile back even if its just a dream
Hoping
Praying....

Spoken like a true romantic and unbridled by the realities of life - then history repeats over time, and we lose our luster perhaps, cheers!
