Heartbreak

By Pryzm

Acid tears
Etch timid cheeks
Burns the wounded
Heart

Wrenching stomach
Tearing cavity walls
Heart of desire
Now despair

Empty and cold
Holds no truth
To the pain of
A dying heart

"Better to have loved and lost,
than to have never loved at all."

To love as this heart has
Is not best
As this loss
Bequeaths

A solitude of pain
Released only by
The true one

  • A former member wrote: I will read this daily, this is a masterful work of art, it describes heartbreak in a way that anyone reading it would feel it with you. This time when I read it, it actual made me tear up a bit... Thanks you for such a brilliant piece.
