Time of War

By The_Scavenger

Time is ticking, rifles loading;
soldiers shipping, bombs are falling;
yelling orders, missiles firing;
the job they gave me to do;
missiles hit, people screaming;
friendly fire, all my fault;
wrong orders I did give.

Time is ticking, rifles loading
bombs destroying, soldiers dieing;
our coordinates found,
rockets falling all around;
napalm falling, fire blazing
direct hit, flash of light
vehicle destroyed, last man standing

Time has stopped, rifle in hand
crew destroyed, I'm the last man
staring at the bodies
as I'm taking the tags
haunting memories I will have
from seeing those charred bodies
the bodies of my crew...
my unit...
my friends...

    Very good. Very haunted.´I truely liked it... Something i live by is this... Dont ever do anything that go against your beliefs. No matter what they are. Ever! It is a road away from yourself.
