Chemical Lies
By Zyrnuvex
The voices still inside my head
No psychotropic’s can lay dead
Doctors drugs naught but a ruse
To slow me down, give me the blues
Sure with them beast doth lay
And certainly less apt to slay
But truth be told just ropes bound down
Cannot erase the evil clown
When broke free will still lay waste
Culminate rage post haste
Millennium drug dealers
Beating down free wheelers
“Legal” remedies their style
Filling our blood with dark bile
The world to bitch to face us real
So instead our souls do steal
But deep down inside truth resides
Waiting for release abides
Our reality their way defies
Feeding us on chemical lies
As I end this with a sigh
Let us choose how we get high

Z - think you might enjoy "The Assassin's Prayer" I wrote last June. A bit creepy but still worthwhile (actually written a couple years earlier before final edit). Your poetry is darkly perfect, cheers!
