Heart torn

Hearts beat as one, but yet still apart.
We've grown close together,
closer from the start.
Making journeys together, happy as can
be.
Now your slipping away, far away from me.
Torn
is my heart, bitter as the winter's chill.
Torn is my heart,
will the shattering be still?
You've started to ignore me, that
my presence is here.
Lashing out, hurting me, your actions louder
in my ear.
You said that we're fine, but I can see the truth.
We've grown old and apart, no longer the love from our youth.
Torn is my heart, so broken up inside.
Torn is my heart,
will the pain in me subside?
I loved you as before, and I'll
love you forever.
But I no longer feel from you, from your heart
I must sever.
The love we had once, it was pure and so strong.
We played together lovingly, but now that playful love is gone.
Torn is my heart, felt beaten by a lie.
Torn is my heart,
I'm no more, without you, I die.
