A Girl

By Korruption

I see myself walking towards what I want to achieve,
I look back and see...the ones I love. The ones I do not want to leave and,
I cry. I weep, but I don't let them see.
This is my war. My path to fight. Not theirs.
Later,
I see myself in a mirror. The reflection is all wrong.
I see the image backwards, tangled hair, tired eyes, atrophic muscles.
She's weak, broken, and she can barely fight. Yet she does.
She fullfills her own path, even as slowly as she's going she tries.
Many don't believe in her. Many don't even try. They believe shes too far gone.
That its a lost try, but she knows better. She will keep trying.
Even if she sees tears in her eyes.
This girl is hurt. This girl is lost, but most of all this girl fights.

...do we stay in a comfortable place & remain unfulfilled, or do we move on in search of a dream that may or may not exist? life is a crap shoot, but you sound determined. good luck...
