Words Of A Stranger

By gearhead

You have saved my life, time and time again

Though we have never met, i consider you a friend

The words you have spoken, have opened my eyes

To the world of pain and sorrow, through my demise

The thoughts of the end, filled my head

For a moment or two, i thought i was dead

But you opened your heart, called to me

The words of a stranger, have set me free

Releasing my mind, from its Missouri

The words of a stranger, set me straight

For in the words of a stranger, i see my fate

What lies ahead, only time will tell

but in the words of a stranger, I'm free of this hell.

Always good to have a mentor or a guardian angel, sometimes just a few words bore into our brain and stick for some reason, cheers!

Wow, that was very well written and being from Kansas originally, I totally get the Missouri reference ;) We all find inspiration in others who open up to us when we let them in. It is a beautiful feeling, glad you've experienced it and shared it so eloquently with us - XXOO Scholar
