Found Poem
By Ultimate Mistake
We're on the threshold of death.
Soon we shall be inside.
How
could I not cry?
We had ceased to be men...
The night had passed
completely.
My soul had been invaded,
My throat was dry and
words were choking me.
The smell of the Angel of Death...
Our terror could no longer be contained.
The smell of burning flesh...
We were alone, the pit and its flames!
Never shall I forget
the nocturnal silence.
Those moments that murdered my God and my
soul.
All very fast...
Surely it was a dream!
Then,
as if awakening from a deep sleep,
I had ceased to pray.
Denying
His existance.
He punishes us mercilessly.
Every fiber in me
rebelled!
I doubt his "absolute justice"...

Times that try men's souls, and cause them to question their faith. Deep and disturbing, thanks.
