The Noose

By TheCreepIngCrow

Hands held out
all drawn back.

Walk inside my thoughts
and see only empty black.

A burning candle
running out of wax.

A cross to a chain
no longer intact.

Wrapping the noose around
to end the pain.

Surely one soul will notice
something isn't the same.

Wrists grated like cheese
tears crash like waves.

My idea of suicide a road
concreted and paved.

The sun hides behind the clouds
and thunder foreshadows.

Soon the bedroom
will become the gallows.

Thoughts race
but then they slow down.

This must be done
it has to end now.

Click Click
the sound of my shoes.

Around my neck
slips the noose.

Kick Kick
all goes dark.

The end of sadness
but happiness never had a chance to start.
