Natural Show
By Dragonfly
Today the sun went black and the moon was to rise in regret.
Besides
the crickets strumming remorseful songs in harmony, all remains silent.
And as the frogs' tenor voices join this jumbled chaos of an orchestra.
The first star begins to dance against soft velvet skies.
The wind's
soprano joins in a howl as the trees join the heavens in an attempt
at dance.
Then the snapping of midnight creatures halt all sound
in the oasis of peace
as the fireflies begin to speak.
The
morning dawns its darkest apparel into an ego barely seen by morning
flyers,
but seen all to well by those creeping in the twilight's
shadows.
Beyond the curtain of endless evergreens the stage awaits.
For you and I, the Adam and Eve of the night to start the true show.
Grabbing your hand tightly in mine, we walk.
And the moon and
all it's stars seem to shine on us in some sort of spotlight,
all
of the creatures too naive to know the chaos we can cause.
I am
finally ready to start this show, lightened by the world around us.
And glistening even without the need for sun.

This was quite the Nature piece and very well done. Especially enjoyed the first part, prior to Adam and Eve from the dark side, but then their progeny have certainly caused some Hell on earth. Thanks for posting this.

That was an awesome read! Set the scene in my mind beautifully, kinda makes me all wistful actually, amongst other things. ~Ash
