The Devil's Work

By TyrantAvDetForbannet

I have felt the cold sea winds of silent peace...

That entranced my stare, beyond this world....

Where carnage laid in the hands of hope...

Yet here I stand...

Thus there I found...

Such weary lands, trampled with war!

I can smell the blood on my hands, their faces and swords!

This seaside cove, is a memorial of broken stones...

Where the dead are being eaten by the crows...

Yet here I stand...

Thus there I found...

Such shores, weeping with the mist of waves...

The lapping waters made thier horrid graves...

Once a beautiful ocean, that now is the sicken'd tide...

Her blessed blood has drained, and so she finally died...

Yet here I stand...

Thus there I found...

Myself...Screaming without the sound!

Where songs have sung in silence!

Dampened by the strangest breeze!

I have felt the cold sea winds of silent peace...

That entranced my stare, beyond this world....

where carnage laid in the hands of hope...

Where it was I that did the devil's work...

Sounds like a Berserker returns to the scene of an old pillage and plunder. Good one with a great ending.
