Unexpected Affection

By WoundsLikeStars

Moisture and pressure
Awkward embrace
Heart, speeding
Necks, craning
Endorphins, careening
Who thought the evening would ever end like this?

Has to start with something physical, although wondering about the one heart (only) speeding. Is this the promise of things to come, or the kiss-off perhaps? Interesting proposition for the post-chivalry generation, thanks. (THEY used to knock on the door, or even worse just honk - but now call on their cell phone to say "I'm out front". Sorry if I digress.

The singular heart indicates that only I can speak for my own. I'd hope her heart would race as well, however.
