Sticky Note

By Demyelinated

It's been so hard to let this go,

but it can all be better.

My things are packed and it's time to leave,

as you sleep upstairs alone as I found you.

But it can all be better,

and I guess I would want to know.

As you sleep upstairs alone as I found you,

I wish I could be there when you wake.

And I guess I would want to know,

when that better morning comes along.

I wish I could be there when you wake,

to comfort you like I never did.

When that better morning comes along,

I can see it so right and so clear.

To comfort you like I never did,

the peace you'll have from not being alone.

I can see it so right and so clear:

my things are packed and it's time to leave.

The peace you'll have from not being alone,

It's been so hard to let you go.

Sounds like you are trying to talk yourself out of something as yet undecided, but eventually ordained and inexorable.
