In The Majesty of Silence, I Observe

By FallenSky

Forever behind me,
Hides a shadow,
Pale, yet ever luminescent,
Clinging to my every step,
As though I’m bound to fall

Blindly I run down these paths,
The quintessence tearing from my chest,
With every step,
In every breath,
My heart grows nearer
To this destiny waiting on the horizon

I am often drawn to wonder why
When every time I am bound to achieve
A sip from the elder’s ambrosial chalice,
My very doubts are firm as stone,
Forging yet another step
I am forced to overcome

Ahh…
I long to be as these stones,
At one with the earth,
Yet my shadow drives me onward

My soul embraced by the earth,
This darkling soil catalyzes my strength,
A clandestine heirloom,
Burning in the green flame of reason,
A part of me,
I cannot see

Formless dreams compel me to remember,
The truths I found with child’s eyes,
My visions often intertwine,
A clearer mind
I seek to find

This was humbling in some way I can't figure...but very dense and fresh. I felt every swerve and bump of this...you made the texture 3D in feeling and taste. I love this one...very awsome. ~JM~
