Perfect Imperfection

By Leith Plunkett

I shall reach beyond the stars

and pull from the night

a shade of sapphire, unnamed

Your name

will pass from my lips

..…sigh…..lent…..

The harp will play for the violin

until darkness casts its own shadow

You will know the taste of my lips

Ever after

shall know more than a dream
