The Other Woman

By Dreamzz

Words they hurt don't they?
Like you would ever know.
My hits they hurt don't they?
Exactly you should know.
Goodbye it hurts doesn't it?
Only I would have to know...

You left me to rot
and for you i sought.
Thought we had something new.
Yet what i never noticed was i was a toy to you.
Our kisses felt like fireworks though they were meant to feel like ice.
Our nightly whispers felt almost better than sex, but to you it was just nice.
Time felt like a wedding cake oh so much to spare.
Yet in reality time was oh so rare.
You were a lie a cheat, I was the other girl.
Again just your baton give me another twirl.
And I hate you for leading me on.
Now my life is done and gone.
Yet most of all I hate you.
For making me love like i swore i would never do.
And as I lay your head on the pillow give your pale face one last kiss.
I hope it is the other woman that you will always miss.

Amazing. I love those last two lines: "And as I lay your head on the pillow give your pale face one last kiss. I hope it is the other woman that you will always miss." Very powerful words and beautiful imagery. Brings back memories and a same hope. Here's to you sweetie. Keep writing.
