The 13th year (pt.8)

By maggot death

I got tired of the day, so I turned off the light and went to sleep, not really feeling up to relive the boring day for another 4 years. Before I rested my head on my rock-hard pillow, I wondered why my jail sentence was so much shorter than the other kids'.

---------------------------------------

As soon as the warden saw Kody's light off, she rushed to her room, pulled her blinds down, and locked the door. She breathed a sigh of relief, and turned the light on to reveal her assistant.

Her name was Mai. She had straight black hair, and wore glasses. Anyone with eyes can see how beautiful she was in the moonlight.

"What now,ma'am?", she asked. She wanted to confirm her previous conclusion.

The warden responded, "...hush. We can NOT let Kody overhear..."

She checked her blinds, peeping out just in case he woke up.

"Did the plan work?" the warden rambled.

"Yes, it did. Sorry it took a year to collect a DNA sample to find out, ma'am."

"It's okay, Mai. This is only a last resort plan, remember? Only if he detects suspicion....."
Another year later.....
