Cacophony

By TheUltimateOutlaw

Darling;
Your drawl draws on dream-states;
Like love is made and mastered
In the hum and thud of your heart drum,
Beating out a careless cacophony
That drowns out footsteps on stairs

(Your fingers tighten 'round my hair)

Darling;
When your not around
The silence is resounding.

    This short piece is simply captivating! Anything with the word cacophony is worth reading, just to see if the author catches the true meaning, and I believe you did quite nicely. Mix in the mini-blasts of alliteration, and... wow!
