one day...

By bloody LOVEly

"One day," I said.
She thought, "One day, when?"...
In the future, when we've forgotten
Memories become old and rotten
And fade awayOne day. Not now. But maybe soon.
Perhaps in June
"The day will come, you'll see", I said
And she thought to herself, "Will you know me then?"One thinks that tomorrow will bring better times
Unrealizing that tomorrow is not promised
Though we can pretend
that on the weekend, we'll have fun
"I'll take you to the beach, and we'll play in the sun"
She nodded at these words, and stood pondering
Where to was she now wandering? Will there be a beach where I move to?
Will I ever see the sea again?
Will I still talk to you?
Tomorrow, will we still be friends?I want to believe in always
And in the Almighty aboveTo make it seem so real
To think it exists just because
Because it exists inside us
But what if what Is, is all that ever was?
And tomarrow never comes?
