chime

By skully

I’m back. Too late to remember
That there was never was much here
Nothing to come home to
Just a concrete wind and much too
Cold streets which lead nowhere but
History’s forgotten chime
Nowhere love’s forgotten rhythm
Hope floats away like the last vapours
Of yesterdays cigarette smoke
